Deter burglars

You will need:
One tablespoon of garlic salt
A few sprigs of fresh mint, chopped (or one tablespoon of dried mint)
A fireproof dish or bucket

Place the garlic salt and mint in the fireproof dish. Write ‘protection from intruders’ in ink on a piece of paper. Light the paper and add to the dish so the mixture smoulders. When the moon is waxing, take the cool ashes and bury them in the ground close to your house as you say:

‘I sanctify and clear this place,
Let all that trespass be banished with haste.’

 

Protection on holiday

You will need:
A map of your destination
A red pen
White chalk
Two pieces of turquoise

Before you set off, take the map and outline the areas you are visiting with red pen (red is the colour of positive energy). Next, lightly colour in the outlined areas with chalk, to symbolise protective light. Place a small piece of turquoise in each hand, and recite:

‘All that venture to this place,
Shield from harm and make us safe.
Throughout all weathers, sun and rain,
Bring us safely home again.’

Carry the map and turquoise on your travels.
