Waking to my bed shaking.
Hi,
I am new on here, and just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this experience. It happened one night out of the blue it was about three am, i woke up and thought it was a minor earth quake. It only went on for about 10 seconds after waking, i then thought i heard my friend calling my name. Upon investiagting i was the only person awake.
The next morning i was sure everyone would have experienced something similar but, it was only me, so i assumed i was dreaming.
A couple of weeks ago it happened again and this time i woke to strange sensation on my abdomen, as if someone was pushing down on me.I quickly stood up and said stop it and it stopped!
I have never been into superstition, and this has never happened to me before, subsequent to these two occassions. I only moved to my new home where this occured a year ago.
Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved.
thanks!
This is weird. I work in a children's home which is an old building, a cottage of over a hundred and fifty years old. About a fortnight ago, I woke up in the middle of the night at work in the staff bedroom and could feel something/someone pushing down on my abdomen. It was weird. I could only liken it to kind of a cat sitting on my tummy, but it was different to that. The next thing was whatever it was was trying to drag me out of bed. It wasn't like I could feel hands on me, just a force trying to pull my whole body out of bed. I was terrified, and when I tried to scream it stopped. The next thing I knew I was wide awake and it was 2.40am. Made me feel uneasy for a while and I was genuinely scared which isn't like me because I do often channel but I am a novice.
well this has been happening to me alot over the past year and the joke is i've movied and its followed me. i dont know what it is either.
I lived in a very haunted house and I'd wake to the bed shaking or someone shaking my feet! I know there was something peculiar going on in my house but I know when the paranormal people came they tried to see if the bed would shake through passing vehicles vibrations or something similar! I know that it did move when really big lorries went down our road but I also know that when it woke me in dead of night there were no lorries! Experiment first with seeing if anything shakes it like people walking past bed or traffic vibrations....also I've read can be body tremors something to do with muscles and when you're asleep etc which can wake you up and make you feel like bed is moving, cant remember specifics but look into it also...GL
A simular thing happend to me a couple of years back, i have a friend that lives with me we both have our own rooms as we are not a couple but for some reason i cant remember she sleept in my bed and i sleept in her bed for the one night, any way i woke up early hours of the morning at the same time she came in to me and said was you just in the bed room standing by the bed, i said no and she said tell me the truth was you, i said no again and that i was asleep and i woke to the feeling that my bed was shakeing or moveing, she said theres something in this house and i said there isent and if there was she bought it with her when she moved in, she said she seen a figure standing by the side of the bed and thought it was me.
I dont think there is anything here but it was strange that we both experianced something at the same time. Also many years ago i to have been in bed and felt like i couldent move it was like i was being held down, it was a scary feeling and one that i wouldent like again. Steve
I have had a few occasions not recently when I felt pinned down to the bed and couldnt move it was not sleep paralysis becuase it happened while I was awake and it started with a roaring in my ears and then I couldnt move and I could hear whispering but was unable to make it out. The feeling lasted quite a few minutes...
I also had an experience once when the roaring starting in my ears and I decided just to go with the flow and see what happened I started to shake and then the whole bed started to shake violently and I started to get scared so I said in my head please stop your frightening me and it stopped instantly.]
Liz
