Ok, well, a few years back, I was lying in bed, starting to driftoffwhen something odd happened. It felt like i was being pulled away from my body and there was a rushing in my ears. i couldn't move, breathe or even open my eyes. Eventually i mamanged to wriggle my toes and open my eyes. I was paniked but eventually managed to fall asleep.A week or so later, the same thing happened. At the time, some people told me it could have been the beginging of an out of body experience but I'm not sure. Then nothing happened for years, until last tuesday.I was lying on the sofa this time, again nearly asleep. There was a pounding in my ears and when i closed my eyes, it was thesame feeling again of being pulled away from my body. Inside i was paniking and flailing but i just couldn't move a muscle, even to breathe. this lasted a few seconds before i managed to sit up. Every time i closed my eyes the same thing happened. I ended up sitting on the sofa for ages until I calmed down and went to bed. Does this sound like anything anyone else has experienced?

Hi Yaischan I can see how it was a worrying experience - its sound as though you may have experienced sleep paralysis?. Its happened to me a few times and the first time was quite scary. See links below for more information and see if it resembles what you experienced. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/sleep-paralysis
