Hello all,

ive just been reading the latest F&F. It occured to me that ive never seen any articles on palmistry.

So i was just wondering if any members read palms,or have an intrest in them. One of my many books has a chapter on palmistry & ive been reading my own palms & ive found  the reading to be accurate.

Has anyone else had there palm read & if so i would be intrested to hear how accurate there reading was.

I would love to see an article in F&F magazine in the near future

Thank you x

Palmistry Reading

Hi Green lady,

I've had several palmistry readings in my life.  The readings (which were done over a period of several years) were all done by Gypsy Eva Petrulengro.  She used to have a booth at Skegness Pleasure Beach back in the 70's,  but I believe she's dead now.  She never once asked me anything and some of the things she predicted took 20 years to come to pass, but they all did.  She was a truly amazing palmist.   I've been to other gypsy palmists in Blackpool and Scarborough, but none have been as good, they often asked me questions too.  I think some fortune-tellers ask questions then feed you back information they get from this.  Not all gypsies or fortune-tellers are like that, but some definitely are.  Eva Petrulengro was definitely genuine.

I recently send in a story regarding the things that Eva Petrulengro predicted in the palmistry readings she did for me to Fate & Fortune magazine, but haven't heard if they've accepted  this for publication yet.   Hope they will print it one day.

Hi pat,Thats great. Im part

Hi pat,

Thats great. Im part Romany gypsy, through my fathers side of the family & every year we would go to Weymouth for our holidays. I remember there being a pamist  on the sea front. However my dad would never let me go  get a reading as he always said the lady who did it was not a genuine palmist.

Its dredful that some of these people who claim to be palmist & psychics etc have no real abilitys & only want to make a quick buck. Ive wanted to have a reading for a long time though when i see an advert i always have to think twice as im not sure that there genuine.

So have you ever had your runes done? I brought some at a local craft fair on Sat. There made of wood & i just had to have them. Im hoping that they will work for me. I read in one of my books that they work better if you make them youself. Though im sure this is true i think as i was drawn to them that they will work well enough for me after ive blessed them. what do you think?

I really hope that F&F will print your story.

Runes

Hi Green lady,

I've had my runes read many times and I've also done many rune readings for others.  I usually use runes and my Egyptian Osiris Board to do readings.  Though I do use a spread of Tarot too in my readings, I don't class myself as a tarot reader.  I've got several different sets of runes, some were inherited from a very close friend who used to read mine.   Some runes are painted on pebbles, some on crystals (my friend painted these himself), got 2 sets of rune cards as well as my favourite runes which are very simple, the symbols are painted on green rectangular pieces of plastic.  They were my first set and my ex-husband found them stuffed into a National Dried Milk tin on a car boot sale stall.  Three years later I found a book which would have accompanied an identical set to these.   It is said that runes work better if they're made of wood, stone, pebbles or crystal because these are natural things and runes are elemental, but I've really loved using my plastic ones.  I don't really think it matters if you make runes yourself or if you buy some that you're particularly drawn too.  Runes are symbols, the real magic lies within the reader (ie their ability to use intuition to work with the runic symbols).

I teach psychic awareness from time to time so I've got lots of divinatory tools, as I use these with my students.  My mother read Tarot but I've always favoured runes.   I teach my students to do flower, ribbon, sand and dry tea-leaf readings (among other things).

Sorry if you read this earlier, I had to dash off to Post Office, but now I'm home I've edited this and added more to it  for you.   I think palmistry is a true art and it takes a great deal of skill to be able to read hands.  True gypsies have that gift, Eva Petrulengro certainly had it.  I agree with you that it's a pity so many people profess to be true gypsies that aren't.   Hope you enjoy your runes.   Look forward to speaking to you again.

Palm Readin

Hello there,

To reply to your query, I read palms and have done for many years for friends. My interest was renewed by reading this magazine and I dug out all my old palm reading books and started to learn more and more about it. Its a complicated subject to learn and takes many years of practice to become an expert.  I now charge for my readings as I found that they were amazingly accurate and people were willing to pay a small amount. I admit that this extra money came in very handy at a very lean time in my life and I believe my angels sent this gift to me to help me out at this time.

There are loads of good books out there for you to read and learn from. Some of the interpretations can be different from book to book though, so you have to use your intuition a lot.

People are very impressed when they hear you can read palms and I am always having someones hand shoved under my nose with a request to 'read that'!!

Hi angelsforever,I thought

Hi angelsforever,

I thought while i was reading the book that it was one of the harder subjects to learn. However i found it very intresting & intend to learn more.

If you know of any good beginner palmistry books i would be grateful for the titles,so i may invest.

Thank you

Palmistry Readings

Hi

I've had 2 palmistry readings, they were accurate but were a long time ago.  One was at a psychic fair the other was at a music event.  My husband and I had gone to a charity music event that a few friends of ours were playing at.  As we were helping them carry some of their equipment into the marquee we passed a lot of stalls and right at the end a large caravan with a cheerful lady standing in the doorway, who we spoke to briefly as we passed.  After several trips she asked if we wanted to come in.  It was then that we noticed a signboard outside saying 'Romany Palmist.'  I said that I would later when we'd got all the music stuff sorted out.  Towards the end of the reading she said "You've got Romany in your family haven't you?'  I said 'There is supposed to be some somewhere, my great grandmother on my Mum's side told us she was of Romany descent, but I've never been able to find any hard evidence.'  'You'll find them' the lady said.  Well, I have found some evidence now, but it's taken about 15 years, maybe more to get there.  I found them through a tracing agency who foud them listed on the 1861 census.  It seems my maternal 2 x great grandfather was from a Romany family who originated in Oxfordshire.   I did have some palmistry books years ago, but gave up after a while as some of it was too accurate and I couldn't deal with it at the time.  Maybe I'll have a go again some time, maybe not.  I don't know.

Regards

Rozana
