THE LADY IN BLUE

When i was around 17 my freinds and I was walking down a road called Clay lane in Birmingham there is a cemetery on the whole of the one side and it was a light spring evening.

There was a lady walking in front of us dressed in a light blue coat with grey hair she slowed down and when we approached her she stopped and asked us for a ciggarette, feeling sorry for her we all that is the 3 of us gave her 2 ciggarettes each .

She put them into her coat pocket with a pleased look on her face and said oh thank you thats kind of you she then turned smiled and we carried on walkingand looked back to our amazement she had vanished out of sight.

Whilst listening to a radio show on brmb radio a couple of years later the discussion was about ghostly experiences and people were calling in to the show a few people called in about the lady in blue asking for ciggarettes on Clay Lane.

This confirmed that what we had saw was truly a ghostly experience, with more people coming forward with the same story as what happened to us.

Sharon

PS/I had a personal experience which is in this forum with the heading WIERD EXPERIENCE CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPEND its about 4 or 5 below this Ghost disscussion in the forum listings

The first was wen i was about 5, i was in my room late at night wen ,my mum herad me screaming, she told me that i had told her i had seen an elderly men that was stood near my wardrobe. But there was no1 there. The second was 2 years ago, i was lieing in bed with my boyfriend who was asleep. Wen i saw a lovely looking lady at the bottom of my bed. She was very dark with long flowy hair and she was talking to me tho i cldnt understand what. I felt she was sayin sumthin bot my sister. The first was again wen i was in bed, i just woke up to see an old lady sitting above me, she was blue and sitting in a rocking chair. i felt i was being held down and she said somethin i could not understand. god where do i start. the first experience i can remember was when i was about 8. taps used to turn themselves on randomly. and me and my family often saw people or a person out of the corner of our eyes. then when i was 13 we moved to a 3 storey house and my bedroom was on the top floor. i was sitting the edge of the bed with the door open, when the door suddenly closed and was against my knee. i carried on unpacking and suddenly i could feel the door being pushed against my leg. (being only 13 i ran down all flights of stairs!!!!!). then we moved again when i was 15 into a two storey house and my baby brother who was only three at the time, wastood at the bottom of the stairs saying "lady lady". then he came and at down for a bit then went back to the stairs and said "lady fall". then when i was 17, we were living in another house. this house was extremely haunted. my mum was out in the garden and i was stood at the back door talking to her. for some reson she looked up at my bedroom window and she swore she saw somebody in the window, even though my bedroom door was padlocked shut. dark figures were often seen wondering around on the top floor. i was sat on the living room floor, writing, when i felt i was being pushed down towards the floor. my mum saw a disembodied head with a candle in front of it. aged 17, i was living in a flat with a friend and i sensed a presense though i had never axtually seen anything. we decided to do a recording and went round to our friends who lived next door. we later played the tape back and when we did we could hear the sound of a bottle being blown on, yet the bottles were on a shelf high up on the wall. aged 20, i was living in a caravan things would often go missing and turn up somewhere else. i lost a packet of rizlas and a lighter which later turned up in the spare bedroom. aged 24 i moved into my own flat. there was three flats above a row of shops. all people who lived in the flats have sensed a presence and me and my old neighbour dan have experienced televisions turning themselves off. on top of that, i experienced my fan heater turning itself off, i could never get my flat warm and whenever my now ex fiancee was away working, i would feel somebody sitting on my bed. my cats would also go scttie for noi reason. one time i had my dan and my ex best friend round for a drink and i felt the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. the rumour goeas that a woman killed herself or was murdered in those flats when they were all 1 big flat though i couldn't find anything out about it. i have also worked in two pubs that are haunted. the fist one was by a old man who used to sit in the chairs by the fire. the second i lived above the flat as well as worked for it. i often heard footsteps up and down the but when i went to investigate, nobody was there. the girlriend of one of the lanlords of this pub had also said she'd heard ghostly footsteps. the most recent presence is my friend lukasz, who crossed over earlier last year. i often sense his presence although he has never made himself visible. so when do i recieve my award as the most haunted person. lol.

GHOSTS
Hi Roseangel I've seen ghosts since I was about 1 or 2 years old. There always seemed to be a white figure standing either at the foot or behind my bed. It used to freak me out. Mum told me it was my guardian angel keeping an eye on me. When I was about 7 or 8 I ran upstairs and crashed into a lady who was coming down, she was solid and the collision knocked the wind out of me, I was so scared I fell down the last few steps. When I was in my late teens I was running upstairs and suddenly saw a man in dark clothes walking down, I had to grab the banister to stop myself falling as I took evasive action. I've seen lots of others as well but am not sure whether they were ghosts or spirits (are they the same thing I wonder) I always thought that a ghost was a memory of an event that had happened and that keeps on replaying and a spirit was the non-physical body of someone who had passed on but can visit our world occasionally. Sometimes I've seen one and other people with me haven't seen anything. I spoke to one once, but got no answer. I thought it was a friend of mine I'd been helping out with some housework. She slept in an attic bedroom and I'd been sweeping the floor, she went downstairs to fetch a dustpan and brush. Shortly after I saw a movement to the right and saw a woman with waist-length hair standing by the wardrobe. "That was quick" I said, "I didn't even hear you come up." Then I noticed the woman was wearing a long, dark dress and an apron, I think. Just then my friend shouted up the stairs "Who on earth are you talking to up there." I thought what am I going to say to her, I didn't want to scare her. "Er, I thought it was you" I said rather embarrassed. "Have you seen something?" she asked. I said I thought so, and described the woman. "Do you know about it?" I asked. She said she did and that a couple of girls who had been lodging there had seen the same person downstairs in the front room while they had been watching the tele. She'd never seen her herself though, but wasn't at all worried about it. I saw my step grandfather at his funeral. During the service I looked across the church and saw him standing beside the coffin. He was wearing one of his hideous shirts (they were like a deckchair canvas and a standing joke amongst the family) this one was more modest, a combination of red, blue, black and white stripes, and a pair of fawn trousers, as opposed to the knee length khaki shorts that usually accompanied one of his summer shirts. He looked a lot younger and had a cheeky grin on his face. I nudged Mum discreetly and pointed to the coffin. "Can you seen anything?" I whispered. "Yes, Pop" she whispered back "In one of his awful shirts, and with a grin on his face." He was there for a few minutes and then simply wasn't. Since then I've seen a couple of people at their funerals, just briefly, but I'm sure I saw them - a friend and then my Mum. Just faces looking down but appearing younger and sort of illuminated. I don't imagine that everyone who passes becomes a ghost or mediums would find themselves having to push and shove their way through thousands of them every day wouldn't they? Or would they? I don't really understand it. Any thoughts, anyone please. Rozanna
